The Weekly Fight College Scholarship

THE APPLICATION PERIOD IS NOW OPEN FOR 2020.

Open to All USA Veteran Families Living With Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

It’s not just the family who serves, and when a veteran acquires Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), everyone around him or her feels the effects, too. The scholarship is open to all veteran families with children entering college in 2020. Please note that The Weekly Fight will assess all applicants on criteria including (but not limited to): contributions to your community, the impact that post-traumatic stress has had on yourself and/or your family, your chosen field of study, a personal testimonial (essay or video), and letter/s of recommendation.

Post Traumatic Stress Affects More Than the Individual

The Weekly Fight has a mission to forge a bond between Veterans and their community to maximize their civilian potential. We are a non-profit dedicated to turning Combat Post Traumatic Stress into Post Traumatic Growth. Through weekly meetings, workouts, seminars, and community events we are creating a supportive, prevention-oriented community for Veterans and Veteran Family Members.

We are a group of Veterans who, along with our spouses, have been touched by the loss of our brothers and sisters. Our commitment is to ensure every Veteran and their Family Members know there are people who care and can relate to their struggles. We are a self-sustaining, train-the-trainer business model dedicated to helping our Veteran community. We are committed to helping Veterans and Veteran Family Members who are struggling and in need of support.

We recognize the toll that Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) takes on entire families. That’s why we believe that the ongoing battle against PTSD is best fought with the entire family engaged in the effort. For that reason, as part of our mission, The Weekly Fight provides support to families of veterans who are experiencing, or unfortunately, have succumbed, to PTSD.

One such way that The Weekly Fight supports families of veterans who are experiencing or have succumbed to PTSD is by offering scholarships. We wish for the scholarships to not only provide financial support to those families, but to also demonstrate that a caring, compassionate, and supportive community exists that recognizes their struggles and wishes to rally around them as one small way to help lift them up.

Once a Soldier is excited to offer our help to The Weekly Fight as their mission aligns with ours. As a veteran-owned nonprofit, The Weekly Fight holds a special place in our heart. Their mission is to forge a bond between Veterans and the community to maximize their civilian potential.

We are on a mission to connect donors and sponsors with the veteran families of veteran suicide. Together, we are making an impact in the lives of veteran families.
